Art Deco Six-Panel Marquetry/Painted Crane Scene Folding Screen. An outstanding example of high Art Deco furnishings. Crafted in France in the 1930s this screen features a geometric pattern of circles and lines, in a diamond pattern of cherry against a birdseye maple background. On the reverse side is a painted scene of cranes and colorful birds in flight. 3 panels are permanently hinged together with a removable pin hinge holds the sets together in the middle. This allows it to be displayed in 3-3 panels or all 6 panels together. All new hinges have been installed with a drill out and peg method.
